The orchestra is composed with members who have been trained in renowned and prestigious music schools: the Moscow Academy, St. Petersburg Academy, Julliard School and Bulgarian State Music Academy.

The main activity of the orchestra is the creation of recordings for the music library of the national radio.In addition to its main activities, the BNR orchestra has recorded for : Phonic-Belgium, Sound Products-Nederland, Forlane and Harmonia Mundi-France, BMG Ariola-Italy, Pyramid Records-USA …Concerts and tours: South Korea in 1994, France 1995, Spain 1995, Germany 1997, France in 1998, Paris and Marseille, during the World Soccer Championship 1998, Spain 1997, 2000, 2002 and 2003, Germany 2000, Italy 2000, where it participated in the anniversary concert under the patronage of the Vatican, Belgium 2002, Inaugural concert of the Europalia festival in Brussels, Greece 2004, concert under the Acropolis within the frameworks of the cultural Olympiad in Athens, The “Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra” has performed in the most prestigious concert halls in Munich and Dortmund, Valladolid-Spain and the Concertgebouw – Netherlands.
