Maija Vidovska

Bristol based Latvian composer and producer Maija Vidovska could be a new name to the film music industry, but she is no beginner. Maija started her journey as sync producer for film/TV in 2021 and has already impressed industry professionals with her very first orchestral composition “Forgive” cited by many as “exceptional”.  Her interest in music production and composition began very early with Maija composing her first music piece for piano when she was six years old and started attending music primary school. She showed her passion, creativity and innovation from an early age by borrowing synthesisers and mics from local music teachers to enable the production and recording of her own songs. Over the years adding professional skills in music production and sound engineering has played a huge part in becoming an independent and original creator.  During her academic years Maija studied classical and jazz flute in Latvia and Lithuania (Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre) as well as graduated from Rock Music High school vocal class in Riga.  During her career Maija has performed in various European countries with Gospel choir from Vilnius and as a member of different jazz and alternative bands like ‘FusedMarc’ (LT) and had a role in musical ‘Westside Story’ staging in Riga. She has also taken part in many different studio projects and is more known as Maija Dub Flute for her flute improvisations and arrangements on Grammy nominated albums of legendary Lee Scratch Perry and Max Romeo to name few.  Maija’s hybrid (alternative/electronic/cinematic) project Arta Arden has featured in few BBC Introducing broadcasts and has been acknowledged by ‘Massive Attack’ producer Stew Jackson as being “at the table” with representatives of Bristol Sound. Mixing orchestral sound with electronic soundscapes and live alternative instruments as electric guitars, drums and adding haunting vocals is a formula that describes Arta Arden’s music the best. But in general, the main thing for Maija as composer, musician or producer is to create meaningful, unforgettable and beautiful music that lives on… In film, on vinyl or in real life.

Tom Kovacs

The 7 year old guy left violin education after the first days, because they didn`t let him play the instrument right away. Then he has ended up on the pages of Metalhammer and performing on MTV with his songs. Tom Kovacs the 37 years old composer, producer, singer/songwriter a father and husband. In 2021 he decided to open his studio and provide composing and production services for musicians, artists directors and music licensing companies. Tom is creating orchestral pieces, rock and pop songs which he mixes and masters himself as well as the songs of other artists. Plays the piano, guitar mastered orchestral VSTs and synths, is a professional vocalist and studying mastering engineer. He is up to making music for film and TV by using his infinite creativity and passion. Although he went to several music schools he consideres himself as mainly self tought. Tom was the songwriter and frontman of the band 5 Yards from 2009 to 2018. They traveled the country and performed on almost all festival stages in Hungary. The original band split in 2011 but Tom and few other members kept on with the recording and performing. Before this period Tom was the member of a lot of different formations. He started recording his songs in 2004 directing session musicians in professional studios. He started to study music at the age of 7 but the first days in the violin education didn`t go well as he was not allowed to play the instrument itself. So he left. He wanted to play. Unfortunately the family did not have the money to buy any instruments (even an acoustic guitar). Therefore he looked for other ways to get involved with music and the best solution was singing in all the choirs, taking all opportunities for performing in the schools, contests etc. The big story began at the age of 15 with the first rock band.
